According to my vernier calipers, 3.9mm (including insulation - the only short stretch without is near the tips of the diodes, and I'd have to disassemble the P/S to get to it). Powered it on with 3 MLM's (3A total draw), and it ran fine; left it running for an hour or so, and the problem connector was dead cool at the end.
