Yeah. That's correct:
SunOS 5.x = Solaris x
where x = 7, 8, 9, 10
before this:
SunOS 5.y = Solaris 2.y
where y = 4,5,6
of course the BSD-based classic:
SunOS 4.x
where 4.1.4 was the last version
Hope I didn't misinterpret anything. :-)
(there sould be a couse just to understand SunOS's versioning convention)
