Non-widescreen name-brand (**) computer monitors (at my day job we had literally acres of 1280x1024 screens) and TV's pretty much (*) disappeared 2 or 3 years ago. (*) The exceptions I know of, are probably new old stock, and I do see them showing up in security systems and point-of-sale terminals. (**) I know Viewsonic stopped making them a couple years back because the Viewsonic reps warned us of that like 4 years ago. But if I go to Amazon I see a companies called "V7" and "Planar" selling what I think may be new 17" 1280x1024 LCD monitors. Tim.
