BTW I wont go into detail but there haave been long discussions about the plural of virus on alt.comp.virus and it seems to come down to the consensus that those who have knowledge of the etymology of the word (and who are generally in the anti virus camp) insist that it is viruses whereas those who think that viruses are 'cool' (and those who write them) insist that it should be viri or the impossible virii.
