I don't have a Newton myself, but my girlfriend does. She got it years before meeting me. She doesn't believe her when I tell her the kind of "geek points" she earned. Between that and her teaching herself to build web pages with a text editor (again, before she met me), I think I'm pretty lucky. In return, I helped her move from office work to a geek job.
