I have just popped an ST225 disk into my MicroVAX II to see if it works and
I get this status:

I have done a quick search on the web and all I can see is that it may be
somehow related to clustering. Well, I netbooted the machine specifically
because I wanted to check out the disk. I have done this many times before
without issue.
What does this status mean?

A random ST225 without knowing where it was last used, or has it been low
level formatted for use with an RQDX3?
I don't know what status you would get if it has not been low level
formatted, but it won't just work without formatting it first.

2000

The 2000 couldn't see it at first either, but then I remembered it needs to
be jumpered as DS3 (it was set to DS1). After that the 2000 could see it and
it could format it too. Now it is just fine in the MicroVAX II so it looks
like I have a good ST-225.
