formatted, but it won't just work without formatting it first.
Yes, I thought about that after I sent the email. It is "random" in that I
know how it was formatted, but I thought it would show

fail to mount if not suitably formatted. I will have to get my MicroVAX
out and format it. I seem to remember someone posting
about formatting
parameters, I will see if I can find the info.

The 2000 couldn't see it at first either, but then I remembered it needs to
be jumpered as DS3 (it was set to DS1). After that the 2000 could see it and
it could format it too. Now it is just fine in the MicroVAX II so it looks
like I have a good ST-225.
