Hi all,
Hi,
The image is only 38K, blurry sorry because of
lousy Canon
scanner (not mine it's at work).
Yes. It's lousy';-))
Hehehe..
This pizzabox is/was a VaxStation 4000/vlc
That finally triggered my memroies. That was it.
and from ICMASTER book the video VRAM is 1MB
total
Should be 2 MByte total, because the option should have a resolution of
1280x1024x8
Huh? I count at least for 32bit wide becasue this machine seems to
do 32bits thing and each VRAM chip is 256K x 8bit dual port. 8 chips
total feeding the BT458LPJ125 ramdac.
with D/A chip
for audio.
You got it right, that's th graphics/audio option for the 4000/vlc
To be completely sure, check the PCB near the VRAMs. You should see some of
the famous DEC product numnbers like 5420772 or 50-20771 ...
Oh that! It matches!
I do have 3 boards of these.
Lucky ;-)) I you want to get rid of one of these ...
I have a vlc here with a broken video card :-((
That one? Well, I could send out whole board as a spare part
with that video daughter board. Bit battered looking, I afraid.
Want to trade? I'm looking in area of peecee parts.
You can use it in the 4000/vlc. Running VMS or NetBSD
;-))
No, I have to make do with custom PSU adapter plugs when I do have
info.
Emanuel did said about standard parity simms in those boards, I
thought so because of that diagnostic LEDs when I tried my simms in
it.
The story I got those 3 boards was a guy offered me those boards and
he wants to keep those boxes. I know it's dumb and that was over 4
years ago.
if anyone knows where to find docs for this
board for info.
Try
digital.com But there was only a three page description of the box,
somewhere in obsolete/historical stuff ...
Okay I will try again.
Thanks very much, it's big deal to me.
