I did once miss a supposedly complete UNIVAC something-or-other at a scrapyard by about a month. The scrapper had been contacted by the Chinese, who came and hauled it away. I like this: "The report suggested that as much as 80% of the America's electronic waste collected to be recycled is shipped out of the country."
