Hi Ed:
I have a copy of the 11/70 prints, I could scan and email, or fax them to you.
What do you mean by the "console panel"? The front panel with switches etc?
Do you have a board number? This would ensure that I scan the correct
schematic.

I'm also looking for a printset but I'm Stateside. Also any other 11/730
documentation whatsoever is on my need-to-have list, both technical and
sales info.
I want to restore my machine to a complete, working condition. It lacks
several parts, a few of which are the DD11-DK Unibus expansion backplane,
Ethernet card (optional) plus several miscellaneous parts and fasteners. I
have to make a precise list yet. Mass storage devices were external on this
particular machine. I have to check for sure, but in one of the extra 10.5"
BA11 boxes I have in the pile, there may be a DD11-DK that I can swipe.
Any way to get the 11/780 boot tape and diagnostics and such on TU58 tapes?
Actually, any TU58 blank tapes still even sold?
The normal 730 system is shown in the VAX 11 Handbook as having an R80
drive in the same 40" rack. I could either get an R80, remove the front
door and install it or try some other type of device. Ideal thing would be
to find a SCSI card and hang a modern hard disk and a tape drive onto it to
make a lighter, more compact system (God knows I need it around here!) But
it'll take awhile to find a SCSI i/f module I bet.

Well, it turns out that my 11/45 is something of a mixed bag, and probably
isn't simply
an 11/45 at all. The aluminum plate on the console indicates KB11A S/N
01-05231 .
The sticker (mostly overlaid by another) on top of the backplane indicates
system S/N 1525.
But the overlay sticker is probably what counts. It indicates KB11D Rev.
D, Backplane
Rev R,. System S/N 293. If I am reading things right, I have an 11/55 in
an 11/45 case.
I had never bothered to check before. Sigh. Kind of a pity that it isn't
itself anymore.
The real pity is that UW Chem E. used to have a real 11/55 (white front
panel), that
I didn't pursue because I was out of room, several years ago.

I have noted a recent thread on 11/70 prints. I have an 11/45, but no
prints, and would love to get ahold of some. Anybody out there have some?
Note that the 11/45 had several changes at serial number 2000 (the UDR
board was revised, the PSU wiring changed, etc), and it's helpful to have
the right prints.
I have both versions (and an old-style 11/45 to look after), but I can't
easily copy them. Does anyone closer have them? I can trivially look
things up if it's the sort of info that can be transmitted by e-mail,
though.
