I just had a PET 4016 (9" screen) shipped

Hey, I might have used that Pet back in 1985 or so.
Cool. Any way to identify it for sure? This one has the tape drive
bolted to the top of the CRT housing and a huge red plastic-coated cable
attached at the rear to lock it down to the table. The Lab I/O module has
a gray box with jacks to connect to the outside world.
It's been some time, but I do remember the gray box, with one or two
RCA type jacks on it. (I could be wrong on the jacks, they might be
some other type).
How did you guys use it?
For our simple experiments, most likely either as a timer, or we'd
measure certain events (I don't really recall what) and use the
computer to take averages, or other simple data analysis.
Do you have *any* docs lying around (not a silly
question - I still have all my notes from several college classes and I
went from 1984 - 1989).
We never received docs on the lab interface itself, if that's
what you're looking for.
One of our lab
experiments involved that interface, but I forgot
exactly what the experiment was supposed to be about (It either
had to do with a laser, or an EKG machine...)
Sounds cool.
The physics lab had several PET's, but their
keyboards were kind of
thrashed. They also had an OSI computer in a clear plastic case,
as a demonstration "what's inside the computer".
Neat.
There were actually two labs. One was more like a demonstration
room, with various experiments set up (there was the aforementioned
PET and OSI, plus a few programmable calculators, also an oscilloscope
with a microphone attached, and other stuff as well). The other
was a more formal situation, as part of the physics classes we took.
