I've come across a UNIBUS board that is seriously
warped -- so badly
warped that some of the components directly on the curve have snapped in
half. I've seen others like it during various scrapyard excursions. What
causes this deformation? Can it be repaired?

I've got an OMNIBUS board from my PDP-8/m that was warped, though not this
bad. It's bad enough however that the traces were cracked. To make
matters worse it is part of a core stack. What caused it was wiring
twisting it into a non-flat configuration.
