Thanks Peter - the point will be both to demo the software but I'm also
expecting to talk about, and let people directly experience, the
materiality of the machine itself. It's sure to be a crowd-pleaser...though
I agree it's a bit risky to try to travel with an already aging and
delicate machine.

If the object of the exercise is to demonstrate the application running,
and
you need a laptop because it's portable, you'll be better off running it
under
emulation on a modern laptop. Basilisk II, (Mini) vMac and Executor would
all
appear to do that.
While running on an old Powerbook is tempting for authenticity, it's
probably a
bit too impractical. The battery will be shot, and continually setting it
up
and tearing it down will soon take its toll on the delicate old machine.
