No one seemed inclined to recommend intermittent duty start capacitors so I've gone
with high voltage run capacitors, all that seem available in the UK anyway.
As Chuck notes, things have got smaller. The originals (100uF, 60V) were 100mm long and
50mm diameter. The ones I have used (450V) are approx 120mm long plus a 12mm stud mounting
and 60mm diameter. The TU56 has plenty of space although mounting them neatly without
butchering the drive was a bit of a chore. Working satisfactorily - just the electronics
to sort out now ;o).
