More than one could count, almost (although, contents are not guaranteed).
I'd find some LA-area phone books (or maybe use www.zip2.com) and search
under "Thrift Shops". Remember, LA sprawls, so plan your trip carefully.
Let me know if you need any help in regards to freeways, rough areas, etc.
(Too bad you won't be hanging around on May 31, or you could try your
luck at the TRW swap meet in Redondo Beach--more stuff than you could
shake a stick at)
