To be fair, it's not the OS exactly, it's the way it's used, in this case.
The OS comes will all sort of things (like Internet Explorer) that you
really don't want for this application. The way it is designed (I
guess) or the way the manufacturers have done things is a pain in the
arse, and makes it cumbersome to work on the things.
I preferred the old units, that ran DOS...
