How sure are you of this? I do recall reading on their site that there's a way
to make corrections, under a heading somewhat like "what if I mistype ...?"
I can see why they'd do things the way you suggest, however. They do make their
money from the listing fees after all.

You can't ammend the starting price unless you
close the auction and then
relist it - which could get you a posting fee if it doesn't go the second
