Wow, it has the complete OS in ROM? I didn't know
any of the Mac's did
that. Are there any others or was this a one shot experiment that failed?
The OS in ROM is the main thing I like about the Atari ST's.
I don't know of any other Macs with that feature either, and I'll bet that
there were none. It was a somewhat Spartan version (not as unpleasant as
a boot floppy, much less pleasant than a fancy hard-drive installation).
Now that Systems 7 and 8 have taken over, it probably would seem pretty
barren. It sure is fast though! But none of your Finder preferences get
saved. (Where would they go?)
BTW, if you "Get Info" on the virtual hard drive, you'll see an amusing
tag in the "Location" field.
