Check for "Hobbes the VAX" and see if they're still around. Last I checked
they were, and are a small cluster.

I just remembered if you have a DECUS/Encompass membership you can log into DECUServe,
which is a nice DEC Alpha running OpenVMS. It also holds the DECUServe DEC Notes forums.

If there is enough interest from
the group, I'll set up a VAX or
Alpha with VMS and put it online. I have several, but they're

Last time I checked HP still have their test drive systems that you can
gain access to, even a nice Itanium box running OpenVMS 8.0.

The other possibility is to run simh (which even runs under Windows) and
then install OpenVMS/VAX on it. It's my favorite way of getting a VMS
laptop (easier to find than an AlphaBook too :-)
