Ok, Sorry about the delay, I got busy with work and didn't get around to working on the Sun unti tonight :) I cleaned the heads with some isopropyl alcohol tonight, but to no avail, I still get the dreaded 96A0 error, I'm beginning to suspect the tapes, however it doesn't matter what tape I put in, it gives exactly the same error, so unless all 4 SunOS tapes have had it, it may be the drive.
