You can use a SCSI 9-track drive to create a tape
on a simulated system and carry it over to an 11 with
a tape drive.
This being *precisely* the scenario that I am interested in effecting!
I have the M4 Data working very well on the laptop, and the 11/44 has it's
trusty Kennedy 9100 to be attached and sysgenned.
Later I'll get the Ethernet thang happening and do sim<->real data
transfers that way - but keeping the 9trkers for archiving and also just
to watch them Reels working. Ah, computing!
Personally I like removable SCSI HD's, ethernet, 4mm DAT tapes, and CD-ROMs
for moving data to, from, and between my PDP-11's :^) The removable SCSI
trays you can get for PC's are really nice, as they can be plugged into a
Linux box, and you can use 'dd' to backup the HD (which can then be booted
on SIMH or E11).
