The National Museum of Computing enjoys tablet resurrection of BBC Domesday Project | Culture24 In 1986, to mark the 900th anniversary of the Domesday Book, the BBC launched the Domesday Project, a then-pioneering campaign where the public could submit pictures and insights on their local area which were then etched onto immortal laserdiscs.
