I'm definitely not trying to be a NeXT-tribesman here...but NeXT's
products, and their relative success & failure, are some of the most
misunderstood things in the workstation industry.

I owned a couple at one time that had large "Sanitized" stickers on
them. 8-)

(wait a minute, it sounds almost like i'm describing commodore.. No,
I'm not bitter about the Amiga.. Not at all!)

Most accounts I've seen place the total number of NeXT
machines made during the whole run at about 50,000. I do know that
the first NeXT I bought was surplus from the Naval Research Lab and
it wasn't but about 3 years old and it had already been sitting
around a bit when it was surplussed and put up for sale down in
Patuxent River.
I'm definitely not trying to be a NeXT-tribesman
here...but NeXT's
products, and their relative success & failure, are some of the most
misunderstood things in the workstation industry.
