I pulled out my IC Master last night and indeed they are 4kx1 chips. So, the
board is a 32k board.

The memory array is 8 columns of 8 chips, type
MM2147J. I'm thinking
that these are 2kx1 chips, resulting in a 16k board.
They're 4K chips.
Someone somewhere may have sold 2K chips (probably as half-good 4K chips),
but they sure weren't very common.
