Ok. Normally they should slide out without any fuzz at all. However,
occasionally I've seen them secured in place by a bracket at the rear.
And, while I haven't seen this explicitly on RA81s, there are sometimes
a design with a spring latch on the top right, that needs to be pushed
in with a finger before a box can slide out. But I can't see that they
would have re-fitted your drives with that. I would start by checking if
they were secured with a bracket at the rear.
And of course, you then have some additional small locks and tricks if
you want to extend them beyond their normal point, as needed if you
actually plan to remove them from the slides.
