What kind of RAM do I need for an m40? Is it the

I've got 16MB in mine now, but I'd like to take that up to the max if
I get a chance.
Yes, 3100/30/38/40/48 use the same RAM. Same motherboard too, the
(3|4)8 models are a little faster...
Ok. Was the $10 that boardset went for on epay a good deal, or are 16MB
boards easy to find? I'm assuming I have a 12MB board, since I have a
total of 16MB.
Probably an OK price, though if you're lucky(?) you may find a whole 3100 for
less than that (though shipping would be more)
Also, any other differences between the [34]0 and the [34]8 besides clock
sped? Different fab process, or can I overclock my VAXStation just like a
PC?
Clock speed is the main difference. I've heard (but never developed
the ambition to check) that the 30/40 models have slower cache memory than the
38/48s, and yes, people have succesfully overclocked them. Then again, if you
want PC reliability, no need to overclock the VAX, just get a PC...
Thanks!
