What kind of RAM do I need for an m40? Is it the same as the m38/m48?
I've got 16MB in mine now, but I'd like to take that up to the max if I get
a chance.

Yes, 3100/30/38/40/48 use the same RAM. Same motherboard too, the (3|4)8
models are a little faster...

Yes, 3100/30/38/40/48 use the same RAM. Same motherboard too, the
(3|4)8 models are a little faster...

Clock speed is the main difference. I've heard (but never developed
the ambition to check) that the 30/40 models have slower cache memory than the
38/48s, and yes, people have succesfully overclocked them. Then again, if you
want PC reliability, no need to overclock the VAX, just get a PC...
