Hi Terry,
Great video. I think you misspoke when you said the Amiga had a 6800
processor. It has the 68000, of course.
Also, the switch on the left hand side on the expansion slot cover is an
aftermarket modification, which I'm guessing you probably also knew.

I didn't know that switch was aftermarket, I thought it was part of the
trapdoor RAM but maybe not? You could be right. Maybe someone had just
made it easier to switch between the two RAMS to make things simple for
games compatibility.

Does anybody know what has happened to jbdigriz?
He selected a whole bunch of OS/2 premium stuff,
but didn't give me his address, and has not responded
to any inquiries for 3 weeks.
I'm going to hold the OS/2 stuff for him for one more week.

Sorry for criticising the accuracy of your video,
Terrry - I enjoyed
watching it, as I always do with yours!
No problem. Like all of us I do get things wrong sometimes and where there
is a glaring inaccuracy I'd rather people tell me so I can correct it,
rather than misleading others who might use it as a source.

It was actually done to ensure that people would pronounce the name right.
If memory serves, this was mentioned in Brian Bagnall's book about
Commodore.

Yes, I know that /now/. I'm intrigued. My (very meagre) understand of
Polish orthography suggests that the last syllabel of Trzmiel would be
pronounced "yell", more or less, so I'd have expected an Anglicized
version to come out as "tram-yell" not "trammel".
Ah well. Names are a personal matter. I say mine "PROvn" not
"PRUEvn";
the latter is the legal verdict ("not proven"), the former is the
name, derived from Provand, which is a shortening of the title
"Provost of Bar-Lanark" AIUI.

Amiga is an interesting computer, because...
- There are not much VERY interesting games for it
- It was years ahead the 386PC and factory equipped with lots of
hardware that costed a lot to add to it
- It had THE killer app (the Video Toaster)
- It was crushed by stupidity of the owners (Commodore, et al)
I believe the Amiga Computers deserved a better future :'(
