I have just gotten an old GRiDCase 1530 running and now I need to rig some

1) The manual says that it uses an IBM AT compatible
harddisc. What's the
difference between an IBM AT style harddisc and an IDE? Is there anyway to
rig an adapter?
Not being familiar with the unit, is the HD an internal one? If so (and I am
assuming it is an XT compatable), then why not just put in a (probably) MFM
drive? The difference between the AT style (MFM) drives and an IDE drive is
like a tape recorder and a record player; they both put out sound, but have
different ways of doing it :).
