They might have picked that price by doing a search of dealer websites.
Besides thats the BIN price. Nothing says you couldn't get it for something
like $1. I'd be tempted to bid, but the cost of shipping scares me.

I have some real *175MHz* Alphas I'll be glad to sell for half his
Buy-It-Now price.

Why's everybody harping on the BIN price? If he also had a reserve that matched
the BIN, then I could see all the hubbabaloo. Fact is that someone could get it for a
penny. The person can't be all that bad starting sooooo low and not putting a
reserve, not to mention that he claims it's tested and is offering a no DOA
guarantee.

If it is tested how did the seller get the idea it had a 150MHz
Alpha, have no idea what kind of hard drives are installed, and
not know whether or not the card is token ring?
If he doesn't know what he has, how can he know it was fully
tested?
