I don't
think VMware will run Win95 or Win98. If that is wrong, I'd sure like
to know, as I could pack up an ancient system I still keep around for
archival reasons.

i just dont happen to like vmware or running anything in a virtual environment i like to
run things nativly on the hardware it was designed for.

At what stage?
You can install it - I've done it myself under VirtualBox. What you
can't do is install the guest additions. They are a Windows binary &
might give an error message like that.
But frankly, something like this is just for amusement value and you
don't *need* the additions.
