The joke my father made as I moved into my house was that I didn't need
to lock the doors, since no thief would be physically able to steal my
stuff.
It was partially because the size of the individual units, as well as
the fact that I had to take my front door off its hinges for most of my
stuff to fit, and the only way I was able to get the stuff off the truck
was to back a truck with a liftgate so that liftgate was lined up with
my front porch. When the truck was in that position, it was blocking
the entire width of the street. I think my neighbors would notice if a
thief blocked my street.
In addition, if you roll the big hard disk array (which is probably the
most valuable single rack in the house) too fast, you'd probably put it
through the living room floor into the basement, and I *know* my
neighbors would hear that.
