<I have an old PC which has a leaky nicad battery soldered to the PCB. There <stuff coming out of the battery, which has corroded the PCB traces near it <This is probably the reason why the machine doesn't work properly. Any mild acid works to neutralize the alkaline NICAd eletrolyte. I personally found lemon juice or vinegar effective and then washing the board well afterwards. Replace the battery! <guess I'll just have to solder some wires in place. Yep! Allison
