Hi Such words as rare or vintage in the title are a waste and often are so over used that they may even cause the auction to be over looked. I suspect his main problem is that there are few people that have drives that use these platters. Without notifying them that there is one available it is unlikely that they look every day. Advertising is needed. Some items, new in the box, are worth much more than a used one out of the box. I don't think a disk platter should get much more than 1.5 to 2 times the price. It just isn't the type of item one would want to put in a glass case to look at. In most cases, a combination of poor title and lack of advertising in the right places are the most common causes of poor sales. As for searches, I found that one has to explicitly select locations when not in the US. I doubt any of the US searches ever even saw the platter.
