I recently acquired a GE Terminet 300 in the guise of an HP 2762A
terminal, KSR. I am attaching what I have so far in my blog.
I've found little on the technical side for this terminal. If anyone
has a manual I'd appreciate a copy.
It is referenced in one listing of HP manuals, 02762-90001 the service
manual. I'm not sure what to make of the one hit I get on that P/N that
isn't bitsavers mirrors. I figured I'd ask here first. I'll also ask
on the hp equipment group, I am on there too.

make some better quality shots for your web site.
I plan to get this going to use for the Multics Simulator at some
point. The TN300 was a common console, and was an early symptom of the
featureless, non-blink'n lites type shop that came to be. I know the
Honeywell 6180 that ran Multics had an 8 panel service panel with
wonderful sets of lights, but it was hidden in a cabinet, and typically
not accessed by the operator.

New subject: General Electric Terminet HP 2762A
JIm - nice! I used one of these when I was at HP in the late-70s/early-80s.
Can also post a macro picture of the entire unit in addition to the
close-ups? Thanks! Lee C.

I hadn't looked in years ... last time I checked, a DPS-8 emulator was just
a fantasy ... but now I see the time has finally come! Rock on Harry Reed!!!
Multics is the last operating system remaining on my must-try list (well, I
would still like to try MPE and OS/400 as well, but they're a bit more
contemporary) since they released the MTS tapes a couple of years back ...
Looking forward to fooling around this weekend! Sounds like it's maybe not
too far off before he's got the emulator capable of running Multics fully
in multi-user mode?
It's a shame that more Multics equipment wasn't preserved. We actually had
quite a few large sites running here in Michigan, according to the
historical record ... GM, Ford, Oakland University ... I'm honestly kind of
surprised that Ford didn't send at least a subset of their machine to the
Henry Ford Museum upon decommissioning, considering Multics' historical
significance. I guess they're more focused on cars than computers...

And I'd love to get that line printer up and running on an 11.

i sent this earlier with an attachment i guess mails with attachments
are tossed in the garbage can
I have a HMI 200 68008 emulator. i need to convert it back to 68000
i have everything taken care of except the jumper blocks j1 and j2
they need to change back to the 68000 ones
i see some real nice pictures on the bitsavers site of the 68000 emulator
Al are you the one who owns that one ?
if so can i trouble you to pop off the plastic tops of the jumper blocks
and record the jumpers ?
they can be re glued back on with a bit of super glue as they are not on
very securely.
here are the jumpers for the 68008 j1 and j2 for your documentation on
bitsavers ( cant send a pdf file )
i also have pictures of the other things that make up the 68008
conversion if you need them

It's just the lack of time preventing me from taking care of it.
