Robert, I read your entry on some bulliten board about your NEC MULTISPEED HD. I just recently acquired one and it runs fine, just not sure if the backup battery works. For now Im running it with the original NEC a/c power pack. The only "problem" that I can find is at the startup it says "bad or missing /dd.bin" but other than that all directories on the hard drive are accessible and floppy drive works fine (even though its only a 720kb 3 1/2") If your interested in this computer, make me an offer and we can work something out.
