I was specifically looking for ones for Commodore 1541 and 1571 drives.
The following mentions the extra tab that moves, and holds the head in
place, during transit.

Would obviously work in more drives than just these, depending on what
drives they are... But, I've noticed a lot of difference between different

I have access to a 3D printer, however I do have the issue of it only
prints PLA, hence any time you print something thin it gets bowed when you
remove it from the tray.
I can give it a shot though if anyone cares to see how it turns out.

I've got 5 machines (long story) and I'd be happy to print out a few if
someone wants to send me the STL file.
If you print with the bed @55C, the part will pop free as the bed cools
when the job is done.

That would be a specialized collection!
A basic one with dimensions of a floppy would provide minimum for any
drive; some drives can benefit from a variety of protruding tabs that
would move the head to another track; some have a tab sticking out, but
not always in the same position.

Depending on cost, I could use quite a few. I believe the actual shape
varies by type of drives -- so I don't think one will work in all. From
what I can tell, some of them have a tab that moves the head when it's
inserted, in addition to it protecting the head.
