I don't
bother fixing Nokia wall-warts, for example. I do have
one here on my desk made for Motorola (13.5V @1500mA), though,
that has been taped together. I do what I have to to keep stuff
working around here . . . .
I wonder if you could fuse the pieces back together with a little
methylene chloride...

The 8V transformer blocks used with some HP calcualtors and HPIL
prripherals, or at least the 230V ones, have a case with lots of cooling
slots moulded into it. The input is either pair of pins to fit a
French/German socket or a length of cable ending to be wired to a UK 13A
mains plug depending on the version.
I've found the easiest way to fix those toguether is to fit 4 rat belts
through the cooling slots, one at each corner. It probably wouldn't pass
a safety test, and I'd not do it on something that wasn't mine, but I
sure do it for my own stuff.
