We are trying to revive a PDP 8L, and wonder
if anyone can
advise us of the equivalent of the DEC1008 transistor, npn
germanium,
Hmm. Everything I've looked up about these says the DEC1008 is
a rebadged MM1008, which in turn is similar to the 2N3444. The
Motorola MM1008 and the 2N3444 are silicon NPN, not germanium.
You can buy 2N3444 here:
http://www.surplussales.com/Semiconductors/Transistors-SCR-1.html
and also where we might track down any of the
following boards:
G228, G826, G624, G221.
I see them on eBay from time to time. G624 -- item #270937110031,
for example.
Hope that helps!
