The KERNAL ROM in my Commodore SX-64 took a dive,

Far as I know it can be replaced with simple 8K PROM/EPROM.
I've got the correct .BIN file - is someone willing to make a kernal ROM
chip for me? If you don't have a suitable chip in your stock, I'm sure I
can turn one up on ebay and have it sent to you.
(And no, it's not the same as the C-64 kernal rom.. close but not
identical.)
TIA for any assistance. Please feel free to mail me off-list.
The KERNAL ROM for the SX64 is a special one. It uses a 24 pin 2364 ROM
or a 2564 (I think that is the number) 28 pin ROM. Neither are pin
compatible with a 27XX(X) 28 pin EPROM. An adapter needs fashioned
(disclosure, I sell such adapters) for an EPROM, so plan on that. Many
sites show the wiring (GOogle 2364 adapter schematic, or similar)
Not to solicit business per se, but if you're interested in an EPROM and
adapter, I am happy to sell both and burn a copy of the SX64 BIN to it for
you. And, since I'm a greedy capitalistic pig, I can also try to upsell
you on JiffyDOS, which plugs in and speeds up the SX64 immensely (and comes
with the original ROM image as well :-)
