FWIW I worked on the early B17xx series (field engineer). That was in
1977-1978. I don't think I ever saw a 1900 series.

The 1800's would have just been hitting the field then. 1900's did't
make it out until the early 80's

You're right, I think I saw one 1800 just before I left. It's too bad I
didn't save ANYTHING from those days. I may still have my papers showing
that I finished some of Burroughs schools but that's it. BTW do you
remember about a month ago I told about the guy that blindly reached up
inside a computer and stuck his hand into a fan in the power supply and cut
off the ends of a couple fingers? That was on a B 1700.
