You're thinking of Win32S, which was the first attempt at a 32-bit
extension
to the Windows API. Not Windows 3.2. :) I think OS/2 can run Win32S
programs
natively through Win-OS2.

By the way you mentioned an IBM item to make Win 3,1 look/act like OS/2 - is
it availabel for download (or attachment) somewhere?
