That's kind of funny! I've been looking at the same topic recently.

I purchased some neon bulbs on ebay this weekend. Though from what I
have been
reading, 'trigger tubes' are probably better. They are 3 terminal
devices that are more
like a relay or transistor. Actually, they are some times referred to
as 'relay tubes'.
