Hi, All,
While tidying up, I ran across the following..
9316B-4504
KA53895
[GI]7851
I was unable to find anything about this specific part via Google, but
I know it's a 9316, made 51st week of 1978. I suspect it's a
character generator ROM. Might anyone have a list of those?
I can probably toss it in an EPROM programmer and dump it out (once I
figure out what the chip select lines are expecting), but just a line
from a catalog page or a note from a schematic could
save a bit of
fiddling.

2K mask programmed ROM, in the GI data books on bitsavers.

I know... I'll have to fiddle the 3 chip select lines (which are
how it differs from a 2716) to get it to read. Assume low-
true and work from there, most likely. 8 possibilities.
I was hoping the other numbers (4504 or KA53895) would
give a clue to what it was used in. As I said, I suspect
it's a character generator ROM, but there were many
standard types used in the 1970s, let alone plenty of
custom ones.

You might just be able to grab the 2KB out of the 8KB using the Moto
MC68764 EPROM definition on your programmer. The catch is that the 3
chip selects are also programmable. The 64K Moto EPROM definition will
read 8KB and toggle two of the chip selects. If pin 20 is programmed as
a "high", you should have luck lifiting it from the programmer socket
and tying it to pin 19 or 21.
The 9316 standard character generators were usually type 9316CG.
