Before I write my own and reinvent the wheel(?),
does anyone know of a
5-bit terminal emualtor using ITA2 (often mis-called 'Baudot' or

Something that runs on an origianl IBM PC under MS-DOS would be fine...
Have you looked at any of the old TDD for PC packages?
NO, whenre might I find them?
As a coincidence, the reason Iwant such a program is because I have a
(modern-ish [1]) TDD on thge bench and I want oo try the 'Baudot' mode
(It works fine in CCITT 300 baud mode). I have a description of the
tones, etc, in fact I threw together a modulator the other day which
seems to work for sending data too the TDD.
[1] The logic board is all SMD ICs. An 80C32 microcontrolelr, ROM, RAM,
some TTL latches for output ports, a DAC to send the digitised speech
announcentm, 73K222 (no, I'd not head of it) modem IC, and a couple of
PLLs.
