Al,
Thanks for the scans. I have the exact same backplane, un-modified. I think that with all
the replies to my thread,
and all the digging around that I did, I have a clear understanding of the backplane
configuration, what goes where, and how i can modify it for Q22.
I will go on to check out the pwr supply before pluging in cards.
The only reference I could find to Netcom's chassis configuration that describes the
power supplies, is in this document:
www.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-wrap/getdoc/slac-tn-80-002.pdF (check page 16 /73)
The bus is slightly different (still a serpentine) ABAB only. The '-RL' must mean
a backplane with modified slots 2/3 designed to take the RL01 controller.
Does anyone have schematics for the Gould (LMGQ- 150/12/5) or Alpha Power (5EXMP)
switching power supplies mentioned in that reference?
BTW, the correct link to the pictures

cheers

Subject: Netcom HV-1148-RL backplane
I scanned the module label and backplane wiring from an 1148-RL that I have
that has been modified for 22 bit addressing (it is 18 bit). CD is present
only on slots 2 and 3 for an RLV11 and bus grant skips 2CD and 3CD.
The scans will be up at
http://bitsavers.org/pdf/netcom/pictures as soon as
the mirrors pick them up.
