I have heard that freezing works (with a can of freeze
spray). Never done it, though.

Better a single edge razor blade or a putty knife
than a screwdriver!
Too much local load with the screwdriver blade -
probably crack the
chip.

Or dull 1" chisel w/ flat side parallel to cpu and
carefully whack
away with mallet or like. Rest the cpu on it's
edges upright.
This is one I prefer.
