I second the motion -- this is getting ridiculous.
I also volunteer to assist in moderation duties. Since I've run out of
space, time, and money I have no desire to acquire any more machines, so I
won't be tempted try to beat the list out of a fair shot at getting
equipment offered by non-subscribers.
And while I'm on a roll, here: Doc, how about coughing up the name of the
list-member who tried to pull a fast one on you so that the rest of us can
know how to deal with this person in future transactions? Kinda like Ebay
feedback??

Glen, and everyone who's asked,
I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to do that or not. In part,
it depends on whether that behavior persists in this matter and whether
I end up taking damage from what he's already done.
It may have been a fairly expensive lesson, but it was an important
one. This list is relatively accessible, and we are all aware that
there is a minority of subscribers who are on strictly "for profit". I
should never have made my source that easy to track.
On the other hand, the support and concern of the majority here has
been phenomenal. Thanks to everyone who's offered condolences and
(ideas for payback).

While I personally am dying to know who it was, I know the better part of
valor and commend your decision.
