I picked up my 11/45 in TN today, and bought the trailer it was on as well.
Just finished pulling it into the garage. Fortunately, it is very well
packed in cardboard and shipping blankets and tiedowns. However,
unfortunately, my car can't make the curb to get it around the back. So I
have to wait till tomorrow, when a friend comes over with a truck with a
hitch. Then after it's moved to the basement I'll be able to pull the cpu
drawer out and find out just what kind of cpu is in it, what kind of (and
how much) memory, etc. Yay! I'm excited :)

Very cool! You'll have fun with it. My 11/45 is my favorite right now.
As far as new additions go, I received an 11/40 just before Christmas
(cool present). It's sitting upside down right now on a pallet as that
was how it was shipped. I've opened it up and did a quick inventory and
it has some cool stuff:
* 11/40 CPU (KE11)
* EIS (KE11-E)
* FIS (KE11-F)
* 32KW core (MF11-U)
* a couple of M7800 SLCs
* RK11-D
* VT11 (vector graphics controller)
* TU60 controller
* PC11
My thinking is (because of what else I received with it) that it was
originally a GT44. Man why did they break that up?

All I can say is "Lucky bastards." I still have yet to collect any
PDP-n with a proper frontpanel (not for lack of trying, mind you...).
Of course, I do have my (almost classic) S/390 and a few other things
laying around, but none with a nice panel. I guess I could spend some
time assembling this bag of switches and LEDs I have into something
similar to attach to something, but it's still not the same...
And, I definately don't have much of anywhere to put a PDP-11 right now,
I'm needing to rid myself of some stuff (more details to follow soon..)
