no, what I would like to see is a file like: path/foo1.file MD5 sum of the file path/foo2.file MD5 sum of the file so I can write a script to trivially tell what is new/unique I can keep track of the provenance of the files just fine if you have a unique identifier (like an MD5 sum) in a simple text file at the top of the heirarchy.
