Yes... but not as a promotion for HIS power transmission, but rather as a DEMOTION for Westinghouse's. Edison believed in DC power, Westinghouse was pushing AC. In an effort to show that DC was safer than AC, Edison electrocuted an Elephant with Westinghouse's AC power.
