Just rechecked 'em with another pitch gauge, they are certianly 0.6mm
pitch...
I'd still bet a donut, that a 5-40 would fit just fine for anything without=
a long engagement.
Oh, it might do. I could probably force a normal M3 (0.5mm pitch)
in there too.
However, I am not sure 5-40 UNC screws are any easier to find (at least
not over here, as I said, even getting the 'mormal' 2-56, 4-40, 6-32,
8-32 is difficult). And it's not 'right'. I might as well spend a couple
of afternoons in the garage making the right screws.
